Creative 14-year-old fights off abductor
When most people think of weapons, they think of guns or knives. But not a 14-year-old school girl from Australia.
Late last month a white van with three male occupants pulled up to the girl as she was walking home from school.
One of the men got out of the van, grabbed the girl by her shoulders and attempted to pull her into the van.
That’s when she threw a handful of dirt in the abductor’s face and hit him in the neck with a stick.
The abductor gave up, got in the van and drove away.
Environmental weapons can be critical in self defense. A rock, a stick, a pen or pencil, almost anything hard or pointy, can be used as a weapon. The little girl’s creativity helped her fight off three grown men, and it probably saved her life.
