Retired Marine defends granddaughter from knife-wielding “punk”
The self-defense hero of the day is a 63-year-old retired Marine. Some thug broke into his house at 4 a.m. with a ski mask over his face and a knife in his hand, and police allege the man was looking for the Marine’s granddaughter.
The Marine ripped the ski mask from the guy’s head and fought him to the ground, when the suspect got up and high-tailed it out of the house.
The suspect is the ex-boyfriend of the Marine’s granddaughter, who was staying in the same house. The grandfather’s defense of his home and family may have saved her life.
“The Constitution says a home is a man’s castle and I spent too much time defending our freedom to think that I was going to leave or surrender to some young punk,” the Marine told a local TV station.
I couldn’t agree more.
